“Carter High” Movie

Social Media Management

In 2015, Wheelhouse Marketing, a marketing division of Atiba, was engaged for social media management by the feature film “Carter High.”

“Carter High” is the gripping, emotional (and true) story of the 1988 Dallas Carter High School football team, which captured a Texas state championship against tremendous odds, only to see it eventually stripped away amidst scandal and controversy.

This film was produced by former Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders defensive end Greg Ellis and directed by former Carter High player Arthur Muhammad. The cast included Charles S. Dutton, Pooch Hall, David Banner and Vivica A. Fox. The film opened in theaters on October 30, 2015, and ran for six weeks.

From September 1 to December 1 Wheelhouse helped increase the film’s Facebook likes by more than 300% and its Twitter followers by 74% with an average engagement rate of 5%. Wheelhouse also oversaw “Carter High” e-mail blasts and managed all of the content for the film’s official website.
