Getting started

What does Atiba do?

Four things, all under one Nashville roof: custom software development, AI planning and implementation, IT consulting, managed IT services, and web design.

Who is Atiba a good fit for?

We have worked for over 800 clients since 1992 that range from one-person startups to large enterprises, to non-profits.

Custom software & AI

What kinds of software do you build?

Line-of-business web applications, mobile apps, AI agents and platforms, internal tooling and dashboards, workflow automation, API integrations between systems that weren’t meant to talk to each other, and increasingly AI-powered features — retrieval-augmented search, document processing, agent workflows. If it’s a business problem that a piece of software could solve, we’ve probably shipped something similar.

Which languages and stacks do you work in?

Day-to-day: TypeScript / Node.js / React, Python, PHP (especially WordPress), .NET, and SQL (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL). Cloud: AWS, Azure, and Railway. AI: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Perplexity, local models. We match the stack to the problem, not the other way around.

Do you take over software someone else built?

Regularly. About a third of our custom software work is inheriting a codebase that a previous vendor or in-house team left behind.

Can you help us decide whether to build, buy, or use AI?

That’s most of what our IT consulting engagements look like. We’ll evaluate off-the-shelf options against a custom build against an AI-based approach, put honest numbers on each, and tell you which one we’d choose if it were our money. If the right answer is “buy this SaaS tool and don’t hire us to build anything,” we’ll say that.

Managed IT services

What’s included in your managed IT services?

24/7 monitoring, help desk support, patch management, endpoint security, backup and recovery, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, network and firewall management, vendor coordination, and a named senior engineer on your account. Cybersecurity fundamentals (MFA everywhere, EDR, security-awareness training) are baseline, not upsells.

How is your managed IT priced?

Per-user per-month, all-inclusive.

What’s the response time for help desk tickets?

Critical (production down or security incident): under 15 minutes, 24/7. High (individual user blocked from working): under 1 business hour. Normal requests: same business day. Every ticket gets a real human within those windows, not an auto-reply.

Do you support Linux and Mac in addition to Windows?

Yes. Mixed environments are the norm for our clients — Windows fleets with Mac creative teams, Linux servers running the actual business, a few holdouts on whatever they’ve had for 15 years. We staff for all three because that’s what real Nashville offices look like.

Web design & WordPress

Do you build WordPress sites, or something else?

Mostly WordPress and Drupal, or custom.

Can you also do SEO and content?

Yes. Technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and increasingly AEO — optimizing so ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity cite you when someone asks about your industry. We run this in-house with the same team that builds the site, so recommendations are actually implementable.

Practical logistics

Where are you based, and where do you work?

Nashville, Tennessee. Most clients are within a 30-minute drive of downtown, but we support clients across Tennessee and remotely across the U.S. On-site visits are included in managed IT plans for Middle Tennessee.

How long have you been around?

Since 1992. Same ownership, same core engineering team continuity, same office off West End. Longevity is boring but it matters — the person who wrote your codebase in 2019 is probably still here.

Do you subcontract work overseas?

No. Every engineer, project manager, and help-desk technician is a full-time W-2 Atiba employee working out of Nashville. The tagline is “Half Geek. Half Human.” — that only works if the humans are actually here.

How do I get in touch?

Contact page, 615-353-1921, or info@atiba.com. A person responds within one business day, and often within an hour during business hours.
