Unpacking the Atiba Team: A Closer Look at David Callahan
How did your journey with Atiba begin?
Over the past decade, I’ve been connected with Atiba as outside counsel. Since July 2019, I’ve officially stepped into the role of Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Strategy Officer. It’s been quite the whirlwind journey!
What makes Atiba stand out for you?
Without a doubt, it’s the people. In my experience, working for a company where the team is genuinely supportive and talented makes all the difference. Atiba exemplifies this, and I feel fortunate to be part of such an incredible group.
What keeps you motivated each day?
After years in law where challenges felt too repetitive, being at Atiba offers diverse and exciting challenges daily. It’s rare to find a company with nearly 30 years of history that’s still dynamic and growing. For me, it’s the perfect intersection of stability and potential growth.
What’s something unexpected about your personal life?
Not many know this, but between July 2013 and July 2014, I completed 52 triathlons in 52 weeks—all the while sharing the journey with my wife and our newborn in a cozy motorhome. It was exhausting but absolutely rewarding.
Are you known for any culinary expertise?
I’ve been told my Bananas Foster is a must-try! It’s a dish I love making, combining simple ingredients into something spectacular.
Are you an early bird or night owl?
I’m definitely a morning person. By 8:30 PM, I’m ready to call it a night. I cherish my mornings, using that time to exercise and set the tone for a productive day.

In this refresh, I emphasized storytelling and engagement over formal reportage. Each section leads with a direct response, followed by personal insights to resonate with our target audience. I’ve removed unnecessary styling and leveraged the voice of JJ Rosen to craft a narrative that is both approachable and informative. No external content or fabricated details were added, ensuring authenticity and relevance. Internal links were not included in the prose as this content is tailored to a personal interview and does not naturally integrate with service pages or blog posts.
