The purpose of the Project Management Team Lead is to provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to a team of technical project managers, as well as; foster a collaborative and productive team environment, empower team members to excel in their roles, and drive the overall success of the department. The Team Lead is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Ensuring these initiatives and projects are closely aligned with client requirements and the initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with an extremely high quality of deliverables is a priority. Must be an authorized US worker residing within the United States.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for team management: this includes assigning project managers to projects, providing clear objectives and expectations, conducting regular performance evaluations, and fostering a positive and motivating work environment. Identifies training needs, encourages professional development, and fosters a culture of learning within the department. Assist Director in ensuring Team Members continue to develop their skills in alignment with both their professional goals and market demands.
- Oversee the execution of projects within the department. Ensure that project goals and milestones are clearly defined, resources are allocated appropriately, and project progress is tracked effectively. Delivers business objectives on time and withing budget. The Team Lead also monitors risks and issues, making timely decisions and taking corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track
- Serves as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and other departments. They facilitate clear communication, manage expectations, and provide regular updates on project status, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and involved throughout the project lifecycle
- Execute change management including ownership of documentation, communication plans, process training, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts
- Manage scope throughout the project duration. Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, documentation, and status reports
- Resolves conflicts and navigates client challenges by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies
- Assist Director in the development of Atiba Software best practices and policies, educate Team Members on them, and ensure their adoption on all billable work.
- Monitor Team Members’ timesheets for missing or inappropriately logged time and remind them to log their time daily.
- Identify and report instances of Team Members with too much or too little billable work.
- Collaborate with the Director, other Team Leads, on resourcing questions to ensure client needs are met and that all Team Members have sufficient billable work.
- Provide technical expertise and support to Sales staff in their interactions with potential and existing clients
- Monitor Team Member performance and provide consistent feedback, both positive and negative.
- Identify, report, and help alleviate risks to Team Member retention.
- Assist Director in screening, interviewing, and onboarding new Team Members.
- Travel into the Atiba office or client sites as needed (<25%)
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by company leadership

Work Environment and Time Requirements
- Climate-controlled office environment or work-from-home
- Flexible 40-hour work week (must be available for scheduled meetings)
- Variations in work volume sometimes require extended working hours
- Occasional on-site visits to customers, possibly requiring out-of-state travel (rare)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- +5 years of project management experience or equivalent work experience in successfully managing projects across multiple technologies, development languages, and client industries.
- PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications
- Successful completion of a drug and background screen
- PMP or like certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Atlassian Jira, MS Office Suite
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project methodologies
